WOW! There is definitely a lot to know if you want to upgrade your power with these things.
I've owned a Pontiac Grad prix GTP with the superchager and man did I love it.
My brother also had a Ford probe with the turbo and every time I would drove that thing
it would freek me out on how much BALLS that thing had for a 4 banger.
Thanks guys for the info.

The Grand Prix ran the 3800 V6 with a positive Roots type blower. I've also run both types of superchargers and a turbo on various vehicles. I prefer the power of a turbo but not the exhaust sound. They tend to muffle the exhaust note and create some odd harmonics. On a V8, you lose some of that great V8 rumble that you can keep with a supercharger.

Bird....the "oh **** it's loud" switch is not open/closed....it adjusts the qtp valve throughout the range....running closed with factory exhaust is not much louder than stock....open the dump and all hell breaks loose....

I will post vid manana

Is the switch for the cut out a momentary 3way reverse polarity? I keep meaning to call quick time because I think I could make it work off a aux switch, BUT I'm concerned the switch needs to be momentary so the actuator doesn't burn up.

Pirate Air, I must've been still typing my response when you replied. You were a little faster on the draw than I was. LOL.

Its all good.

Very interested to hear about the Procharger, especially any difficulties getting it tuned in both normal and off-road modes (if that's what you do). I also ordered the Procharger kit and will have my dealer do the install. I'm a little concerned because it'll be my daily driver and I know nothing of the reliability of the prochargers. Anyway, looking forward to your updates.

The guy that posted the video (denmah) is on the G8 board. His car is no slouch but that Cutlass is awesome! I love sleepers. The only thing that would improve the sleeper status is if it was a 4 door.

yes it is momentary 3way....we can get creative and make it work with the aux switch...my audio installer was rated #2 by mobile installer magazine this year so I may have him work on it. unfortunately he is buried with work.

make sure u let us know how u do it. that's the only thing stopping me right now is i want the cut out hooked to an AUX switch. they had it that way in the Top Gear Velociraptor so it's got to be possible.

The thing with the Velociraptor is we didn't get to see if one aux switch controlled both the open and closed functions on the circuit of the actuator. Or in other words one switched might of opened it and another closed it. If it was done this way then replicating it would be easy. I want to make it so
"off" is closed and "on" is open, but the issue is the momentary switch part. On paper I can make the two way aux reverse the polarity to open and close the actuator, but it wouldn't be momentary (which would eventually burn it up). It starts to become more work then its worth IMO so I kinda gave up on it. (I will be interested to see if autowerks can come up with a simple-ish solution). If I really had the time and money I would run the actuator on a rpm window switch, have it closed at idle and up to 2500 rpm where it would open. No low end lost of power.
