I have a 2014 that I haven't updated. But I have my guidance muted so it doesn't say anything. Sounds like that's what you guys are after. I have no idea where I changed the setting. I'll look through if tomorrow to see if I can find the setting. But no dings or voice for me!

Already stated that I keep it muted, the point is I want to be able to Mute & unmute it easily which is why they added the mute button on the screen.

Many times the Voice will say things like your destination is on the right, or take the left exit lane. Which are nice things to hear, but around town when it says 6 things in under 2 minutes makes listening to my music annoying.

Before the update you can mute and unmute it by going into the menu and pressing mute.
The menu button happens to be all the way on the top left, which is rather annoying to press in the first place, then you have to click the mute button in the menu list.

Well I would like to thank everyone for their inputs and what not on this subject. If I had know that I was gonna lose that start up screen I would of never done it like everyone says! So beware.

On the brighter side of things the nav is more responsive lol.

This sucks. I'm really bummed out over losing that splash. I don't even use the nav and the new splash screen just looks cheap and generic. Sure doesn't look like 60 thousand dollars! Suck a fat one for this Ford!
