Yes, the Nav-tv is needed to bypass the original amp. Looks like you got a super sweet set up. Mine is just to add some bass.

the nav tv zen module is the way to go when upgrading the sound system. for just adding more bass, a simple hi/low converter will work, however not ideal, but it gets results.

I see so u did not need it. Thanks.for the info. I would say my system is a little bit louder than my wife's Honda odyssey. Lol. But it's very clean and yea the bass is nice
