I run a Borla xr 1 muffler and resonator delete. Sounds really nice and loud. Also kept the stock pipes

Those who have removed the factory resonator, is it a straight-through design? Can you see directly from one end through to the other and out?

Yes strait through.

Thanks, JV. Since the resonator is a straight-through design, then removing it will have no performance benefits. Its weight isn't a factor on a 3-ton truck, so the only reason to remove the resonator is sound volume/quality.

Good to know. I'll leave mine where the factory hung it.
