I am sure this is a stupid question but since I don’t know for sure I will ask anyway. Does the round digital gauge have to be accessible or can it be mounted someplace where it is not visible? If not, are there any tunes that don’t require a visible component?

I know it was you now because of the large silver skid plate. It's very distinctive. What bumper is that? Custom?

Yes, my bumper was custom built by Miller Offroad Design. I wanted a minimalistic design with the frame horns cut for a tighter fit. He built it specifically for the BD 40" Arc light with the hoop on top. I think it looks a lot better than the ADD bumper and 30" straight light bar I have on my Gen 1 because of the curved light.

The round Ngauge is not needed to operate the truck. You use it to load the tune and then, it can be disconnected.

If you want to use the extra gauges it provides, you leave it connected, but it probably makes sense to have it visible. One member has his mounted in the storage compartment in front of the shifter, so you could close the door if you did not want to see it all the time.

NOTE: The URL under the picture shows a better view of his interior.

Fantastic news. I really don’t want to see the gauge. That set-up is perfect as that storage compartment is a complete waste of space in my truck. Now the big question to find out how he had that holder manufactured.

Those are great results. I'll hit up the strip on Friday to see what she can do. I have the standard bolt-ons. And I have a 5Star tune on my Ngauge but I'll never run that POS tune again. Drive ability was awful. I'll do the runs with stock tune.

I'll post up after I get back on Friday.

Ok, so how many of you "driveway bolt-on mods are better" folks have the time slips to back up your claims of "better"? Took mine to the drags last night just to see what it would do. My stock truck with tuning only. MPT baseline with a few little tweaks with my HPTuners software. Here's the time slip. Yeah, that's me on the left, #64 with a 13.72 @ 100.38 mph in a 5700lb street truck. Check the 2.0 60ft time. The guy in the right was in some Chevy crap truck.

What kind of mpgs are you getting? Better or worse than stock?
14 AVG around town, 18 Highway, I've even seen 19.4 if I stayed at 70MPH highway, but that never lasts.

My 6.2, which i Loved, got 12 no matter what.
