MPG change with 37's

well, depending on things like how much they weigh, how wide you go (12.5 or 13.5) etc will determine how much of a change you personally will see

city MPG will drop, highway MPG may possibly go up.

if you get a tire that doesnt weigh much more than stock, and is the same width as stock (12.5) your highway MPG will most likely go up as it will drop the revs.

just make sure you get a tuner, and adjust the computer for the larger tire size... and the extra benefits it brings like performance, economy etc.

is the 12.4 with or without correcting the TCU for the tire change?

This is with the TCU corrected. And it sucks cause after the TRR ill be going back to 35's so ill have to get it adjusted again. these 37's are great but too expensive and I'm tired of having to put gas in it every 3 days haha

mine dropped to below 10mpg with 37'' nitttos, was getting 12 avg with stocks

Also, you need to do several other modifications to run 37's with ZERO issues.

Before 37s I was averaging 12.8 and with 37s and the mathematical adjustment (multiply by 1.07) I'm averaging 11.6.

The loss in MPG is negated by the badassness of the 37s...

Yup I got the trusty 5.4L! I also changed a few things with my tune as well. I did a few things to the truck before getting 37's I have CAI, dumped exhaust, TB spacer ad I know some people don't care for it but that's probably how I'm getting 12.4 right now lol after adjusting my tune for it my mpg went up about .6! I also just recently changed out my spark plugs and that help tremendously!!

Oh and I run Lucas oil in every tank too that alone helped my gas Milage too! I run a full tank all the way down to about 10 miles to E put in a bottle of Lucas oil and full her up with 89 for now but I'm about to jump up to my 93 performance tune and see what difference that will make

I'd love to do 37s but I kinda like my gas mileage hovering at right around 15 for city driving. I have awhile to think about it though, I don't think my new tires will be worn out any time soon.

Yea if most of your driving is city then going to 37's would kill your mpg! I drive 45 minutes to work on the highway so there's no stop an go for me really. It takes some gas to push these freakin monster toyos they weigh so much haha but once they get Rollin on the highway they ride smooth and I can set cruise control and go. Ill be needing new tires after TRR ad ill be getting toyos but they'll be 35's so I can get close to 14 maybe 15 again haha wishful thinking I guess!
