With the potential for Ford to drop the 6.2 L , what would be your guys plans for a motor replacement if you happen to need one in the future?

From everything I've heard, the 6.2L is staying the SuperDuty for at least another generation. If that's the case, there is nothing to worry about.

There might be another power plant put into the Gen 2 Raptor...

the 5.0L Coyote motor with either a turbo or supercharger which should be good for (at least) 440HP

The stock mustang now makes 420hp. Don't need a turbo or supercharger for 440hp. Better (BOSS) intake and tune could easily push 440hp.

So the coyote is already a viable option to replace the 6.2 beast
Why ain't they already sticking it in there ?
And the coyote is an option on the 2015 model f150 right?

For truck use the 5.0 only puts out 360hp and 380ft/lbs. The only downfall to this motor in truck use is that it likes to rev. It's not a down low torque monster like the 6.2 or 3.5 Ecoboost. I still feel its stronger off the line than a 5.4, others don't though, but this baby sings at over 3k rpm and really pulls. It's just a motor that loves to rev, some people might not like that though in a truck. Needless to say, the speed limiter still comes up really quickly in the 5.0. I have one in case you have figured it out.

As of right now, the major changes that have been seen on the truck version of the 5.0 for 2015 is a new higher flowing intake manifold with charged motion control valves and its getting cast iron versions of the Mustangs headers, both of which the 2015 Mustang 5.0 is getting as well.

Remember that 420hp is with premium fuel too.
