So update here for those curious

1) Morimoto's manufacturer messed up. They didn't include the OEM LED harness with these lights
2) They are working on an ETA for me as to when the OEM LED Harness will become available
3) DetTiger wasn't sent the correct harness. He was sent the OEM LED Harness for the first version of the Morimotos. It KIND OF solved some of his issues. But the Gen2 XB's actually use a DIFFERENT OEM LED Harness.

That's why he was talking about using the DRL harness to get his startup sequence to work. As he was bypassing the OEM LED and powering that feature direct (which is what the halogen truck owners have to do). He's also got a fast hyperflash on his turn signals, which is again due to the wrong OEM LED Harness being used.

So he's got basically a bandaid for now until he gets the correct OEM LED Harness (for the 2nd Gen XBs).

We learned about this issue months ago when the 2nd Generation XB's for the 2018+ F150s came out. The OEM LED harnesses were not working, as they were the original ones. So the bugatti startup sequence and hyperflashes were there. This is also why Morimoto stopped listing OEM LED trucks as a compatible truck on the 2018+ Headlights. They had to re-design the OEM LED Harness.

Again, no ETA yet on the new harnesses. The wholesale team at Morimoto is working with their manufacturing team to get me a better ETA on when the harnesses will become available.

My truck is programmed with for scan so they are always on - I think the default mode is having them come on only when driving though

When driving all 4 projectors would be on yes - when you flip highs on the bottom ones flip up more (a solenoid Is activated)

How would you rate the usable light while driving at night compared to the OE Leds??? I must say they look much better installed than I originally thought.
Overall they are a considerable improvement over OE. They have a much more defined cutoff at the top of the beam whereas the OE had some usable spillover light, so that takes some getting used to.

I justified the purchase by recouping a lot of the money by selling my OE lights. If it weren’t for that I would not say it’s worthy of a $1500 upgrade. But don’t get me wrong, they look cool and they are absolutely a quality light.
