2010 6.2 sc

just performed mid perch and pcm at tasca ford in rhode island. tasca treated us well and we were told no effect on warranty with the power pack. truck runs much smoother
and seems effortless under power. very happy with tasca mod shop.

just a warning about the mid perch, the fox shocks corrode badly and quickly, took the tech a whole day to perform the perch due to corrosion and a faulty bolt on the shocks.
we were lucky that tasca ate most of the labor. also returned the vehicle totally detailed.

would highly recommens tasca mod shop and roger sorel who we dealt with.

These threads are everywhere LOL.

Magnuss Moss Act is what you can reference for MOD and Warranty.

As mentioned in this thread, it is up to the dealer to prove that the mods you did voided warranty**

With that said it comes down to how much are you willing to fight with the dealer if you are put into a warranty situation.

The fundamental answer though is NO modding does not void warranty despite what the dealer will tell you.

LOL Good luck fighting Ford and the dealer, its simple MOD and risk Voiding the Warranty ,seen it happen too many times,we are a mod shop and all my customers are told up front and in writing that its not my fault if you have no warranty.

it comes down to a energy thing. Is your time / energy worth fighting for the warranty work. Depending on what it is I would say YES but for minor things no.

The PCM has a encrypted flash counter.

But it would up to the dealer to tell Ford that you have done something.

It's easier for dealer just to submit warranty work, they stand to make the most money that way.

And if Ford denies a claim it's easier for the dealer to tell you that and hope you just pay out of pocket.

Some dealers are just unwilling to deal with mods (to many headaches and paper work) IMO just damn lazy!!!

Luckily may dealer does not fall in that category.

Like previously stated, it's NOT voided. You were just denied a claim. If your SYNC radio goes out and you have a catback exhaust, they still have to fix your radio. You still have a warranty, but your engine/exhaust warranty requests have been denied.

There is a huge difference between "void" and "denied".

Edit: Better example.

You are 100% correct
The Ford rep looks at it then they Will Void the drive train warranty the rest of the warranty is fine, I bought a Lightning that had the drive train warranty voided but everything else is fine.

The truck is black flagged for ever.
