Yeah SYNC system is supposed to have a few tricks and new commands with some Mobile Applications for smartphones, only some apps are compatible with it. But my problem is not that this commands are failing, my problem is that when I say the command, nothing happens. It doesn't even exist within my system.

But Ford says it does, that it comes with MFT and it is available in all F-Series.

Mine was ******** up, and not listening to me. I bitch slapped the radio and dash a few times, and that sync lady came around.

Actually, I had it back to the dealer. They updated it, and all was good.

I secretly threatened her that I'd do it again of she ever acted up again!

Lol, I think I'll do that and take it to the local dealer to update it for me. Since i already did the USB update on the site and it tell me everything is right.

And hope from there on the "Mobile Apps" command will work.

I have an iPhone and after a lot of trial and error trying to get the Bluetooth sync'd with my motorcycle communication system, finally figured it out. I don't know if this will solve your problem, but here's what I had to do: with the iPhone off, I first turn on the helmet comm, then the bike Bluetooth connection, and last, turn on the phone. The helmet acts as the "hub" for everything which is why the phone has to always be turned on last.

I wonder if your truck works the same way?

I couldn't figure out how to get the Mobile Apps to show up on my new truck. Ended up doing a Live Chat with Ford. Apparently, the Mobile Apps are not currently available for Touch Screen Sync systems.
