Evening gents. Quick question that I probably already know the answer to but i figured I throw it in here to get some valued opinions. Almost exactly a year and a half ago, I bought a mishimoto. No issues until today when I was spraying coolant all over the wheel hub. Check the hoses and no apparent leaks. Took a photo of the base of the radiator and sure enough I’m almost positive it’s a leak. Thoughts on how I should proceed. I highly doubt I wanna go the mishimoto but I also would like my money back. Based on the bros in the forum I’m thinking about a full race radiator. I’ve heard good things about them. My question is what has been the experience with refunds with mishimoto? Any help would be appreciated. Thx bros!
Ron Davis is for sure the better choice.

Did you ground the radiator to the truck?

I don't know what mishimoto's warranty duration or terms are, but if you are still under warranty and they refuse to take care of you submit a charge dispute with your credit card company.

It’s been a while, I tried to but since it was through Amazon, both companies kick the ball down the road to one another. Luckily I’ve had my full race installed since and I’ve had absolutely zero issues. Very happy with the full race but god forbid, I’d definitely go with Ron Davies if I had to do it again. But hopefully not Lolol

So far so good with my Mishimoto, I've never had an issue with the brand. Own4Mishimoto radiators and 3 oil coolers, the brand has always been great in my experience.

Wow that’s exactly the same place my radiator just started leaking from last week! Man I hope they have worked out this issue, regardless of what’s happening with these specific radiators Mishimoto is a good company. I have 6 other high performance vehicles all with Mishimoto radiators, oil coolers, a couple intercoolers, a couple of oil sandwich plates and fittings and have never had a quality issue ever. I was pretty surprised actually by the high number of gen1 radiators failures but things happens in every company and what matters to me is how they respond to the issue. No company is perfect no matter how hard they try. For me they took responsibility, did not give me any trouble and shipped me a new unit, yes it cost me $100 to help with shippping but I had no issue with paying it, lucky for me I do all my own repairs and don’t have to pay more out of pocket and just deal with the pain in the ass process of getting the new unit back in. While at it I figured I might as well replace my belt drive pulleys and serpentine belt. Also might as well throw in some new spark plugs. I do have a buddy who owns a pretty successful radiator repair shop in ft worth and since I don’t have to return to the old Mishimoto unit gonna have him take a look at it and see why the failure in this particular area and have him fix it if worth it for ***** and giggles. I wonder if there’s any benefit to having him pressure test my new unit coming in? I know they do this or should do this to new units post production but wonder if a pressure test would be of any benefit here or if the issue just sneaks up on us a year and half later.

Sorry dude. Welcome to the family. After this happened twice I switched. Never going back. I would not waste your time and replace it. Just get Full Race or Ron Davis and move on with your life.
