First post... great forum, I'm getting my raptor on Saturday and I've called three Ford dealerships in my area (Louisiana) this week to see about getting the perch adjusted and none of them have a clue what I'm talking about. The last guy told me he was going to ask his mechanic that has been installing super-chargers in the Raptors and see if he'll do it. I got the impression from many post on here that dealerships everywhere were doing it. I guess it depends on the shop.

just talked to the dealership I bought my Raptor from. They informed me that Ford considers the front shocks "non adjustable". Even showed me a TSB (or whatever ford calls that) stating such. I would avoid getting this mod done at a dealership, especially if you plan on using your warranty.

Yup, I ran into a dealer that said they got a TSB . They said the TSB said if you adjust to mid-perch, Ford will void ALL warranties. I called BS and they wont show me the TSB.

A recent follow-up indicated that they "misunderstood" me and it was fine.

So there is no void in warranty @ mid perch?

hollister ford knows what it is and does it if you want it done by ford

Thanks! I'll give them a ring.

Interesting. My dealer knew exactly what I was talking about and did it in less than an hour with another twenty to thirty minutes for alignment. I guess it all depends upon the dealer.

Nice. Were they reasonable on price too?

They can't "void" your warranty. If they had knowledge you had adjusted the shocks, and you ended up with failed front suspension components, you might be paying out of pocket.

The mid-perch mod for Raptor is more or less an Easter Egg from SVT and Fox. To my knowledge, there's no mention of it in any Ford literature or service documentation. A dealership service technician who's qualified to work on suspensions should have no problem performing the adjustment, but you're most likely going to have to show them how it's done; show them the photo Raptizzle posted or even the RPG video.

I would use the fact that they don't know about it to my advantage and have the mod done somewhere else other than the dealership. If they don't know about it, they most likely won't notice it's been done if/when you bring your vehicle in for service. No need to give them something extra to try and blame if you need warranty work. If you need warranty repair of anything on the front suspension, there's a strong possibility that the dealership/Ford could deny warranty work if they wanted to if you have your vehicle on mid/top perch.
