My 2017 is in the shop for the 3rd time due to the plastic pan issue. After the first "repair", I drove my truck from the dealership to work (5 miles) and after 20 minutes of being parked, I noticed a huge puddle of oil under my truck. They blamed a rookie mechanic. On the 3rd failure, my check engine light came on, smoke started blowing out of the tail pipe and truck went into "safe mode". I guess they realized they jacked up my truck because Now they want to give me top trade in value (58k) for my raptor and put me in a 2019 at sticker price. Since I got my truck for 62k, I think im taking that deal. My truck did not have any oil pan issues until I hit 40k miles.

Anyone have the torque spec for the metal pan drain plug? A few mins of internets searching didn't turn up anything.

Thank You for posting the metal drain plug. I thought I was going nuts!!!! Purchased my 2018 Raptor in January 2019 and was excited to put an after market drain plug to make it easier to drain without splashing.

So its more than just the pan that has to be replaced. I just converted mine while it was out of the truck being build to RMB. Hes planning to put together a kit with everything needed to covert it including bolts and the correct sealant.

Anyone know what the thread size is for the drain plug for the aluminum pan? Picked up a futomo but its a m12x1.75 which really doesn't look right...
