The new mustangs are laying down incredible numbers on the new 5.0, I've seen several at 900 rwhp on a stock internal engine.

also, LOL at guys calling the 6.2's big blocks lol

The new 3.5 EB is an all new engine, new block, etc. And it will share parts with the new 3.5 EB in the GT supercar. Exact same everything no, but share many parts yes. The biggest limiting factor on the ecoboosts once modded have been fuel delivery. When guys go really extreme they often add manifold injection as well with a standalone to go along with the EB Direct Injection once they're maxed out. I saw an article the other day that said the new 3.5 for the raptor had both direct and manifold injection, which would be a huge hurtle jumped for making even big power out of the EBs. I looked at the pics though and couldn't see the manifold injectors though so not 100% sure on it despite the article stating it.

I also saw another article from ford the other week that said the new 3.5 EB raptors should be on par with the old roush raptors for performance. Hearing that from a Ford article, seeing the article from the Chicago show about the manifold injection, and then hearing this rumor of 511, I could see it being plausible looking at the writing on the wall. Not saying it'll definitely happen, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did.

any new info is worthwhile reading, some may be true some may not be, that's why it should all be taken as a grain of salt, but this is a raptor enthusiasts forum, so no reason not to post up any info/rumors/thoughts about what the next one will entail. Get your ******* out of a bunch people.

The 3.5L is not new, why everyone says that is beyond me....it's version upgrade at best...not saying it's a bad platform, but to say this particular engine is "new" is misleading.

You should know this - it's all in the delivery big boy! Agreed?

Agreed, people need to simmer down and stop with the personal attacks. The dude made a poll, answer or dont answer and move on. All of you saying "Ford would never do that blah blah blah" are just as bad as someone taking the 511hp figure as pure fact. Nobody knows wtf Ford is going to release so chill and stop with the attacks.

Also the poll is a hard one around here simply because a lot of guys have a bunch of money invested in their trucks now and dont want to take a huge hit to start from square one even if the HP numbers are high on the Gen 2.

Ya'll need to stop taking everything to heart and realize the internet is awash with different opinions, take the high road and move on.

If every single new thread, even if its a speculation thread, turns into a giant **** measuring contest this forum will die just like Birdman said.

ehh, same shit different day...guys telling everyon to relax and be civil are the first to throw gas on the ******* flames...

if you can't have a little fun and take this place too seriously, then you're probably in the wrong place...every thread i read about gen1 / gen2 has some level of entertainment in it, and if that's all it's worth, i'm cool with it.

It is new, per Ford's press release. The only thing it shares with the old 3.5 was the displacement number.
3.5 second gen new aluminum block and updates to the fuel system, cylinder heads, and internals. To further improve airflow, the high-output engine exhales through a true dual-exhaust system with twin outlets notched in the rear bumper.
