Absolutely demand that all badges are removed and re-applied. A lazy installer will try to convince you that he can cut around the badges and make it look good..... This schpiel is total snake-oil bullshat. You're wrap will look like crap around the badges and the original paint will shine through the hollow parts of the badges.... Again, I know from experience. I found it unsatisfactory and the installer re-did it at his cost.

Agree 100%. You HAVE to take the badges off. There's no good way to get around it and it's a simple, maybe two minute deal. the hardest part of taking the badges off is measuring so you can put them back in the exact same spot.

We took off everything that we could within reason. That includes the badges, the tailgate and rear bumper, the rear taillights, the corner marker lights (front and rear), the third brake light, the side fender vents, the hood vents, the headlights and the antenna. The only things we didn't remove were the door handles, the Sirius antenna and the fender flares.

Excellent words, fellas! I went to the shop yesterday and got to talk to the owner/installer directly. Great dude and definitely gives me a good feeling about putting my truck in his hands. He even let slip that he is excited about doing this project. Here's a quote from him: "The longer you can leave the truck with me, the better. Because I'll keep going back and fixing things that I don't like. Works out great for you, but not so much for me."

He said he will pull everything off. Even the fender flares. He will measure out where the emblems are and replace them once wrapped. The last question I have is removing the bed rails. BGM/C&A, did you guys takes yours off? How difficult would that be and is it worth it?

And he gave me a written quote for $4000. Cha-ching...sign me up! Oh, and I'm gonna be gone for most of March. Boo-yah!

Nice dude! I'm psyched for you. You have NO idea how bad ass this film is.. Pictures truly don't do it justice, it's amazing.

As for the rails, we (me and the installer/owner) did some research on it and apparently the clips break really easily (pretty much count on them breaking from what we could tell) so we decided it wasn't worth it. He was able to tuck the film pretty nicely without it so I wouldn't personally worry about it.

You're going to be blown away when you get it back. lol..

Good to know! I'll have the same discussion with my guy and probably come up with the same conclusion.

While I was there, he cut out about a 3x8" piece of it and threw it on a black Jeep SRT8 he happened to have sitting in his shop. Just that quick glance looked fantastic. Even on that POS!:ROFLJest:

Yeah i was thinking of doing this on my flameblue screw this week.

It is that or headers/Exhaust/Radar detector before my cross country road trip in it.

Figuring the wrap will keep the paint nice and safe, where the rest of the stuff will only encourage "trouble" to find me.

Looks really good ..

The only bolt on emblem is the F-150 badge on the tailgate ?

Yea, for some reason all the other badges are stick ons but the F-150 badge has two clips holding it in place and some really big holes in the tailgate. So it was either fill in the holes or put it back on... /shrug
