Just had the magnapack put on and res delete. Came out the magnapack with 3.5" long sweep 90, pointed 45 degree. Exit is right at frame, where the frame starts to bend up near the rear tire.

Drone at 1800-2000 vibrates whole cab. Love the sound, however I already had a cop next to me at a red light with his windows down and he pulled me over. Let me off with no fix it ticket. Said it was too loud and demanded to inspect under hood. I moved to California NOR-CAL, said he was looking for illegal non c.a.r.b. mods??? I'm all stock under the hood, luckly....parts coming next month...lol

Is there a aftermarket res that will help the incab noise? All the stock stuff is gone. Did going 3.5" exit, amplify things??

I dont care about the cop, I will just keep a eye out and stay off throtle if they are around.

My Borla S exhaust had some drone and vibration issues when I installed it. I replaced my stock resonator with a Magnaflow 7" round muffler. Knocked the drone right out of there.

Hey 208 -

How much room do you have between your factory exhaust flange and your new Magnapack?

There are a number of aftermarket solutions for "universal" resonators that allow you to dial in the sound, or in this case, stay under the radar! I can't say for sure exactly how the resonator below will effect the sound, but the intent is to reduce drone.

This is just an example, a 3" in/out universal resonator from MBRP:

If you just have a cat back setup you don't need a carb number, so unless you're louder than 90 decibels or whatever the limit is you can't get a fix it ticket for exhaust, I run with no resonator and no muffler and have never been pulled over for it

He made me lift my hood and said he was looking for non carb items, then let me go. I was on J street in sac under the overpass, so it was bouncing off the walls too. Had it for one day now, so I have been wot'n it everywhere.

Looks like I need 20"+ for the res to fit, I have 32" so it will fit. Give it a try. Thanks for lookn out brotha
