with the truck running, what happens when you disconnect the maf? does it change at all?

maybe intake leak somewhere?!

Italian Tune-up? What is that? It's possible that I have an intake leak or vacuum leak. I've always had a whistle when driving at lower RPM's. I'm taking it in to a shop tomorrow to see if they can figure out anything on the MAF. Friday if the shop has time, they'll search for a vacuum leak. Smoke test?

@The Car Stereo Company - I pulled my MAF sensor plug with truck running. Idle dropped to about 700 RPM's and threw the P0103 code - Mass Airflow Circuit High Air Flow and High Voltage Output. Cleared the code, plugged harness back in and back to rough idle behavior.

Drive heavy footed for a day or so. Wring it out, long high RPM runs.
