Sooo I just traded my 2010 M3 for a 2011 ebony black screw (build date 8/31/11). Love it so far minus a rattle I hear coming from underneath the car and the already cracking leather seats.

Few questions..
So..I took the car to HB ford to have them look into the rattle I was hearing. I hear it when im just driving down the road..any minimal bump in the road causes a shuddering feeling that makes a faint noise and a slight vibration in the floor. Its not the shock noise that is described, I hear that loud noise going over speed bumps, and I can deal with that.

Service guy acknowledged the noise, and a few hours I get a call and get read that "get out of jail free card" about the shocks making noise blah blah. I tell them its not the shocks. They tell me literally to deal with it and come get my car.

I call ford file a claim and ford tells me to have a field service tech come out and to request that HB ford do it. I call HB ford back and they tell me they wont do that for me, and tell me that Raptors just make noise and to deal with the rattle. I call back Ford they open a case and refer me to SVT. I call SVT and SVT says noise doesn't seem normal, so they tell me to call HB ford and to speak with the dealer principal, so I do. Dealer principal tells me to go back to dealer I bought the car from which is an hour away!

What does a guy have to do to get his car looked at...

Minus being treated like crap, I love the raptor! It will be my last Ford though.

Go to another dealer. I've never had a problem with warranty stuff even on the Raptor. Ford sounds like they are trying to take care of you but the dealer is a DB.

Agreed. Remember dealers are privately owned and some are good while others aren't.

It shouldn't be your last Ford... it should be the last time you deal with HB. I have driven long and far to avoid ****** dealers. F them.

I have always had great success writing letters to Dealership owners, Regional Managers, CEOs, etc.. Write one letter and CC: everyone so they all realize who got copies of your letter. To further instill a sense of how serious you are, have it sent registered mail.

Don't blame the brand for a ****** dealer.. amazingly there are still a lot of them out there.. of ALL brands. Some of the A-holes even spread their craptastic service by owning dealers across multiple brands further infecting the world.

I have bad luck with dealerships too. I have the clunk that I couldn't get fixed by one dealership. I called and filed a claim. Go back and forth with them for over a week. My part number on the current axle doesn't match the clunk ones but it still does it. They tell me to go to a different dealership. I do. They drive it and found if you go and brake hard to a stop, then go the sound is more apparent. Then they say its the rear suspension making the sound. WTF. They said if it gets worse to bring it back. I still need to.

idk, coming from the MB side of the world, I have to tell you, Ford service sucks. They ONLY way they can get good surveys is they have the "buy" it from you (tank of gas, discount on services, etc.)

I took my CLS550 in for an oil change and they told me it needed something on the rack and pinion. Left it overnight. They replaced the whole rack/pinion, did the oil change, washed the car and I didn't even get charged for the oil change.

Its not because the car is $spendy$, cause I've had lesser MB's in there as well.

Every time I go to the Ford dealer, you have to be on your guard, be ready to site warranty clauses, show them receipts, etc. And after 8 hours in the service bay some guy walks in and says "we didn't have a chance to look at it today".

My dealer has been nothing but good to me, but then again, your mileage may vary. Try another dealer who is willing to go the extra mile to accomodate you.
