Just started this today. When I start the truck I get between 1 and 5 or 6 loud pop pop pop sounds from behind the glove box. Like a small hammer tapping a plastic bucket. If you turn the truck off and re start it, it does not do it. If the truck sits for 30 minutes or so, start and pop. Like a vacuum door or some shit for the a/c recirculate? Not sure. This area has had a noise before since new and the dealer has not found a problem. I use to hear a very quiet sound that was more of a small plastic door closing or moving and snapping or clicking slightly. Any clue?

Your guess is correct....unfortunately...

Same thing happened to my 2011 Harley Davidson F-150...

There is another thread on the forum that addresses this problem...sorry I don't remember what is was...

It's a common issue....so it shouldn't be a problem for the dealership to fix....I said it shouldn't be a problem...not that it won't...

Good luck...hope you get it fixed easily...

Just 1000 miles out of warrantee. Free warrantee. Guess it just keeps poppin. If the damn thing was to stick in recirculate ,that would be fine with me. I get tired of hitting the damn RECIRC button.

Mine did it as well---bad actuator---eventually you will have to get it fixed. Fortunately mine did it during the first year so Ford picked up the tab.

Very common problem---when I drove up the service drive and was telling the advisor what it was doing as soon as I said it is "popping behind the dash at start up" he said he knew what it was "had two in here yesterday happens all the time" and wrote it up.

So far so good on the 2011 Harley Davidson F-150....keeping fingers crossed...

I only have 6500 miles on the 2012 Raptor Scab...and no write ups at this point.

Hopefully that will still be the case after Raptoberfest.....!!
