This really ****** me off. Blue Cruise was one of the reasons I purchased the Raptor in the first place. I do a lot of interstate driving to my deer lease and was planning to purchase a larger travel trailer and start taking family trips when Blue Cruise became active.

If I would have known Blue Cruise was a no-go on the Raptor, I would have purchased the Tremor or another model.

Ford cannot just sit back and give refunds and avoid liability. Someone who purchased the truck with the expectation of it being Blue Cruise capable is out a lot more than $795 equipment fee. We purchased a vehicle that is not what was advertised.

I live in Texas and this is a violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. It is basically a bait and switch sale.

The other good thing about Texas is that you can sue Ford and the jury can award triple damages.

Looks like I will be sending Ford a demand letter next week.
I don't think Blue Cruise would have worked when a trailer is connected regardless if you had Blue Cruise or not. Several things automatically disengage when a trailer is connected including the lane centering.

so I assume for guys/gals who already have their 2021 Raptors, we will get a refund? How will we get the refund? Will Ford just send us a check or do we need to take this up with the dealer?

Not a lawyer, but just glancing it, I think the thing that could trip you up is that the seller had to know that their advertised feature was untrue. So you would have to show that Ford always knew that they were not going to provide Blue Cruise on the Raptor.

That said, I would guess that if you've already bought your Raptor, and present a decent lawyer, Ford may prefer just to fully reimburse you and be done with it.
if that is the case, im sure ford tried their best? bc it looks like they were having trouble with it due to the off roading software..... so they tried ? leaving them held harmless?

Not all owners are getting 12-14 mpg. My last fill up at roughly 5k mile. If they’re getting that, they’re doing some, shall I say “spirited driving” and there’s absolutely nothing wrong about that.
I didn’t know there is a “Sissy” drive mode setting.

As a long time GM guy, I’m new to Ford, so I thought BlueCruise was already active in my truck. This was yesterday, running cruise control with lane departure and vehicle spacing turned on, pulling a trailer in trailer mode and I was hands off the wheel with the truck cruising on its own. I don’t know what the difference is between this and BlueCruise, because my truck drives itself with occasional inputs required so the truck knows you’re paying attention. I personally love this feature even if we don’t get BlueCruise. Unlike anything I’ve had before and very similar to my brother’s Tesla. Absolutely loving this truck.

Yeah, it’s pretty sick. Learning something new all the time. We should arrange a meet so you can check it out! Me explaining it to you won’t do you any justice.

My dealer sent me an updated invoice with lower MSRP (after I changed colors from black to Code Orange). While bluecruise would have been cool, I think the ACC is enough. Plus it dropped my price into the 70s which feels like a great value all things considered. It felt a little too high in the 80s. Psychological thing I guess.

Last spring I purchased a new 2021 Kia Forte GT Line for my kids to use when they start to drive. No way I want them driving my Raptor. As I waited for my Raptor to arrive i put about 10,000 miles on the Kia. For a $23,000 car I thought the Lane Keeping Assist and Active Cruise Control were very good. I couldn’t wait to get my Raptor and see how much better these features would be on a much more expensive vehicle. I picked up my Raptor in September and love it. However, the LKA and ACC are almost inferior to my Kia. While driving the Kia I feel 90% assured that it will stay in its lane smoothly with no “ping pong” affect. I’d almost be willing to close my eyes and let it do the driving. My Raptor I only feel about 40% assures that it will maintain its lane and when it does correct it’s very choppy. That being said I was somewhat hoping for the BlueCruise to perhaps refine these features. Since we are getting a check instead of the BlueCruise my Raptor will be getting a new set of shoes. Thinking about the VenomRex BL601 in Baja Bronze. Where Ford gives you lemons…..ya got to make lemonade!

Another frivolous lawsuit that drives up the cost of new vehicles for everyone. You could easily trade/sell your truck for what you paid and buy a Tremor. That would be a lot simpler.
