They can trick them into thinking they work. Trust me bud, it happens all the time in modern hp cars. From slowmaros, vettes, to mustangs, if it has a computer, shit can be turned off in the tune, but will not throw codes for an emissions read thru your pcm.

If the sct pro racer package wasn't so limited to the parameters on this truck, I'd be doing all of my own tuning via live data logging with a laptop. Sct is the shit.

Long tube headers and inspection issues?

ok so i am sold on buying a full SW kit if i can solve one issue. i am trying to buy them before i talk myself out of spending the money and busting my knuckles installing it lol

here is the issue. here in NY i have heard of people having issues getting these trucks to pass inspection due to the headers. i talked to some owners and some tuners, not yet spoke to mike from 5 star, he is away till next week. the problem is with or without cats the rear O2's need to be shut off due to the increase flow or the sensors will throw a code. when u go for inspection and they plug in the machine to the OBDII and it looks for the rear O2's to be "ready", if they are off they are NOT "ready". thats where u fail inspection.
:snoopfacepalm:

so anyone else have any experience with this or any thoughts on how to get passed this? NY is quickly becoming cali so this question isnt for NYr's only

Have a tune with the rear O2s on and the exact tune with them off...

Plugging into your computer for an inspection is way over the top...

if the rear O2's are on, they will throw a code from the increased flow and still fail the inspection...the o2's are not programmable except for on and off

Does NY code say anything about if the rear O2s are removed completely? You can't test something that is not there...so unless they climb under the truck and specifically look they no one will be the wiser?

Just a WAG

Nice...that is cool...we have several in our hood...the kids love it and they wear them selfs out on it...

Also, nice watch drunk adults play on the trampoline...ugly...

Not to be a buzz kill, but call your homeowners insurance company and let them know you have a trampoline...CYA
