@2012SCSVT I've seen your build on here and BLGT, definitely an inspiration. Ordered a set of deavers today and hope to get a bedcage soon. Unfortunately I don't have the guts to fab my first one up. Any recommendations on the big name bedcages? Also, whose shackles are you running?
Cool, yeah I generally post most details good and bad, I'm using a rpg bypass rack, just slightly modified and I have custom lower shock mounts on the axle to run a 18" shock. Rps shakels too, in that picture I had bms

I posted the .dxf for the lower mounts in a another not tread sure if this link will work:

he kit? Do you wish you went with a wider kit, or more so why did you go with the stock width? Are you on a deaver rear end? What would you change if

I love that you incorporated 18" shocks instead of 16", that way, if one day you are able to, you could use that bypass on a 4-link. Also, I really like that bump mount setup you have, did you fab that yourself? I am really wanting to go HM up front, and then a custom 3-Link in the rear. I will be riding in a bunch of different setups this summer though to see which one I find most adequate!!!

That's such a sweet kit! How wide are you and is that a 10" stroke? I'm putting my list together for the coming years and its between a blitz mid travel and this HM kit. I live in Michigan, and am going to be riding in all sorts of different trucks to see what I think will be adequate. Really leaning towards the HM kit, and installing it myself. My next question, what is your rear end set up?
Sorry I realized this is a gen 1 forum and my truck is a gen 2. But the kit is the same either way. Yes 10" stroke shock, that is a big deal. Rear end is a deaver spring over with a 18" 3.5 king. I will be going spring under soon to get more uptravel at ride height.

No worries homie, I wish all gens could comment because, like you said, everything is pretty much the same! Are you going to C-notch the frame as well to allow for more up travel? How do you feel this kit pairs with that rear end? I am very interested in building a 3-link kit to pair with the HM kit up front!!! Yes, that is why I want to go long travel as opposed to mid!! I hear much better things about the on-road handling of these trucks with long travel up front!!!!

SVC’s old 2wd long travel with engine cage tied into the cab cage and 2.5 King bump stops bumping off the uppers. Shock package is King 2.5x10” coilovers and 4.0x10” bypasses. View attachment 484516

Paired it with SVC’s DD link kit in back recently. Feels balanced, the truck is dialed in very well right now.

Were you previously on a deaver set-up in the rear with the lt front kit? Obviously the leaf to 4 link setup is a massive change, and obviously better, but did the truck feel unbalanced with the lt kit and then leafs? And you retained the frame and bed of the truck, which is my ultimate goal, you just had to incorporate the fuel cell, where I would like to go with a 3-link, c-notch the frame, and retain the stock fuel tank? Did you go with a new rear end too?

Yes, it was previously paired with a sprung over deaver and 18” bypass setup. Those setups can definitely handle very well with some fine tuning, to my fault I didn’t spend nearly as much time dialing in that setup as I should have. I’ll say that the rear would have bucking issues long before I ran out of suspension in front with LT.
I don’t personally have any experience with sprung under setups but they are much less prone to bucking.

I did go with a new SVC housing with the link setup, I wasn’t too wild about losing the stock fuel tank but it’s well worth it to have a true triangulated 4 link in my opinion. It’s pretty much as far as you can take these trucks without cutting them completely in half and introducing a whole new set of headaches into the equation.

I totally agree, just living in Michigan we don't have quite the terrain as what is out west, although I will be taking trips out, it's obviously a little harder for me to get out there. That's why I'm still up in the air on what to do for a rear end. I definitely would do a true 4 link if I lived out there!
