Nice write up Bohica. Having the backup cam accessible all the time sounds cool. ....you can check out the rooster tail of dust behind you off road, or you can check out the chick in the lil' convertible behind you at a red light. I can dig it.

Agreed! I'm planning on getting this mod as I have found the backup cam to be helpful while wheeling (once you get used to the fish-eye perspective).

The Drift video-cam I want to install on the front will hopefully integrate with the Lockpick so I can see/control what I'm shooting. Not to mention what I'm driving over...

EDIT: - Or who I'm driving over... I can just picture having the ADD front bumper and runnin into a couple of these yahoo's on a blind corner! {woohoo! fiberglass chunks for all}

That idea sounds very cool! Please keep us posted, you could make some seriously badass offroad vids with that setup.

I know this is a stale thread, but in the interest of keeping mutliple threads on one topic to a minimum...a couple clarifications:

I installed the lockpick, and did NOT have the Raptor Plus Package. (No Trailer control, no rear camera.) By reading the very first post in this thread, it makes it seem as if you can buy the factory camera and emblem, plug it in, and lockpick will make it work- it most certainly does NOT do that. That left me with the option of taking it to the dealer, and having it set up the right way, so I made an appointment. The next day, my factory trailer electronic controller came in, so I figured I would have the dealer program both, as it should be a simple plug and program since the harnesses are there.
LUCKILY, I called lockpick FIRST. It turns out that you can only add the SECOND CAMERA IF YOUR BACKUP CAMERA IS AFTERMARKET. You CANNOT ADD the 2nd camera if you have factory backup camera. So, then I was ******. I bought the factory camera original on eBay, cant return. Bought the front camera from lockpick, which I had already installed. That little piece of information cost me several hundred dollars not having the correct understanding....so, I hope anyone that comes across this thread and gets the wrong idea, reads my post for the information they might need to know ahead of time. (Tech support said it has something to do with 100s of lines of code, and cant make the factory backup work with the additional harness.....thats where my eyes glazed over and head started to drop...Zzzzzzzzz **** it. Whatever. blah blah blah doesnt work blah....

So my solution was to buy a kenwood backup camera and dremel the **** out of my rear camera Ford emblem. It sorta works now.....but my rearview camera doesnt work except in reverse for some reason. I dont care though...I only want the front camera to work in motion other than reverse, so it does what I want. Hope my rant helps or at the least makes someone chuckle.
