Simply put, we always tune to where we feel Safety, and performance intersect. We spend a great deal of time developing our calibrations in house to ensure when they are released, they are solid and worry free. And sometimes, this means holding back on power.

As far as the transmission tuning, we do not do tuning on the transmission as of yet, but there are items we do on the engine calibration side that do help aspects of the transmission as well.

Correct, we will be supporting 17 and 18 3.5 trucks with this release.



At this time, we do not offer a warranty with the tune, and there are reasons behind this.

#1. Most 3rd party warranty companies are reimbursement based. They cover a finite amount of dollars for a certain component failure. Usually 3500 for an engine, 2500 for a trans, or 1500 for a differential. As most of you know, this is only a small portion of the actual cost to repair. Additionally, it's subject to their conditions. Most people we have talked to with dealings with these types of companies have not been favorable. So we decided not to pursue something at this time with them.

#2. It's usually just marketing. Not to go all Tommy Callahan on it, but typically the best offerings don't need a flashy warranty.

#3. we'd rather people chose us based on history, and feedback/reviews from other people. Not because of something like this. It gives people a false sense of quality. We try to shy away from anything that makes people choose us for any reason beyond that we do a good job, and make a solid product, or tune.

Thanks for the info. The reason I ask is I had a tune in the past (not from you guys) and threw a rod. Fortunately my dealer covered me and replaced it under warranty. It would have been $12k plus otherwise. I just don’t want to push my luck with that dealer if another engine goes. It may not even be the tunes fault, but seems like there really isn’t a way to prove it and I’d rather not have the hassle arguing with Ford over it.

We definitely understand, Talk to your dealership about it first, see what they say. So many of them are cool with it, especially being us, it's worth the question.
