I asked for one and they haven't yet. But they told me all of this towards their closing time for the day.

I'll say this, I'd rather have a completely plausible explanation for that combo of DTCs instead of having a TCM/BCM gremlin plaguing the truck.

For the most part, the harness is modular, and not crazy expensive. at least it costs less than the steering rack I had to buy because Ford doesn't sell the captive bushing separately.

I got my truck back on Friday. No more lights or alerts! They had to change the wiring harness and a vacuum hose due to the damage. I did get a look at it and it's clear something did chew through it.

I think it's in my head, but I feel like it runs sluggish now and the power steering isn't as easy as it was before. Would there be any rational reason for this? Or is it because I had to drive a Nissan versa for two weeks and now I'm driving a tank again?

A Versa? that’s pretty low. have you checked / updated the steering mode?

I've changed the steering mode. Again, no lights on the dash or alerts of any kind, that's why I think it's in my head. I'm just waiting for something else to go wrong.

The trans will take some time to learn your driving style...

I am experiencing the same problem or something very similar, it all started after the phasers and valve cover replacement at my local dealership. At first they told me the trucks' gateway module was malfunctioning but after replacing it, the problem was not solved. I got a call from them today and they are working on it but the tech cannot find what the problem seems to be so now they are talking to FORD to figure things out.
Have you had any more problems with your truck related to this issue? @USCxGAMECOCK
