No, not the dumbest thing to spend $450 on. But I strongly suspect that you could get the same amount of light for quite a bit less. After all the Baja has been raced for decades without "light cannons." Oh well, enjoy 'em!

They didn't have light cannons for decades..they also didn't have 30+ inches of suspension travel either..Technology evolves.

I use mine all of the time at the ranch and on mountian roads as well as the ones here that help to see the DEER that will ruin your day!

Not to mention Killing Feral Hogs!!!!

And the more suspension travel you have the faster you want to go and thus the further you want to see down the path.

These light look very promising. I may get a set to install on the hood mounts instead of the HID vision x 4500 s Also they are 450 for a set vs 345 each for the HIDs.
