Do you have a gen3? I ask only cuz your pic is gen2. For gen3 ford drills the hole in the skid plate.. I believe for gen2 that ford did not predrill holes and it was the dealers discretion to order the front bracket and drill upon delivery so ymmv with placement.

Gen 2, So I have some nice hole plugs for the skid plate.

Those recommending the bumper plugs- do they still fit the holes after an installed plate holder has been removed?

I have some silver metallic vinyl and a vinyl cutter. I'll just cut a couple small circles and put them on there. Curious how well it'll hold up. If anyone's interested i can send you some

Yes. Had to drill out the rivets though.

First of all, thank you for the DIY!
Here is mine, but I actually went with Metallic Silver color since it had a bit more shine to it. I can’t tell if our pictures do it justice but this one could be worth a shot. Hope it helps someone and thanks again @RotorOver
Another vote for the Metallic Silver, the push fasteners y’all linked were back ordered on Amazon so I just went to my local Lowes and picked up a 2 pack of Hillman variable depth fasteners (I think the ones that fit best were the Ford fasteners funny enough).

3 coats metallic silver, 2 coats of clear and then bam, looks factory.

How are they holding up 2 years later? Is the paint still good and did you also use any clear coat on them?
