Looks like we will be updating this post with fox 3.2 soon! Has anyone heard if a dual valve option is in the pipeline ?

also have been seeing lots of SDI Top hat failures as of late. Thinking foutz may be the way to go, unless aftermarket top hats are a bad idea alltogether?

Ive seen one top hat fail by SDI and it was also in a pretty gnarly baja situation, there may be others but just off what ive seen.

The foutz and SDI are pretty much same construction wise.

at what point to you think a limit strap is needed for a top hat. do you think you would need one with a 1 inch top hat?
heavily debating doing top hats only in the front and nothing in the rear.
or some spring combination. the truck really needs only an inch in the front to get a better look to it and also maintain much of its stock reliability

At no point do I think a limit strap is “needed”. That includes springs to be honest. Is it good insurance? Sure. But I dont think its needed and the Youtube video out there that says it is is just fear mongering tbh.

You can slap on a 1” top hat or 1” front spring, align it, and never think about it again and youd be extremely happy.

ok thanks, I am seeing EXO offroad videos where I believe they are requiring limit straps on setups for their trips because of failures. They are doing BAJA though. I get why they don't want the down time and why they don't want to be rescuing trucks with blown out suspension.

But i do appreciate this input! maybe its not as bad or frequent as it seems!
