Hey guys,
I'm contemplating buying a raptor and the only thing stopping me is the size. I definitely want a supercrew and just want to see if it will fit in my garage. I have this weird pole to protect the water heater in the garage which makes the garage about 227 in in length but I know that the raptor has a very extended grille. I also read that the length of the supercrew is 232 in. The pole is towards the middle of the garage and I wanted to know how much the grille extends from the actual body of the truck. I am thinking that I might be able to fit it in if the grille account for enough of the length.

The grille doesn’t extend beyond the front bumper..
I mean the front of the truck is curved right. So if I park towards one side of the two car garage, is the front curved enough to not hit the pole.

I already see your first mod coming... House demolition. You're not a true Raptor owner until you've either modified your house or your lifestyle to accommodate the truck.

To answer your question the front bumper cureves a bit near the fog light slots but not by much maybe a few inches.

There's a thread on here somewhere with everyone's creative solutions to fit it in the garage. Let us know when you're ready to knock down that pesky wall. I demo for free.

I just went to the garage with a tape measure and a pint. Neither one came back with me.

Lucille clocks in at 240 inches from the garage lip and I’m measuring 4” from front plate to garage door, meaning 236” on a good day and that is touching the garage door.

The front bumper cuts are 21” on each side and at the furthest from center they are 16” give or take inset from the plate bracket.

Since this was neither my first, nor last pint ( I’m on vacation ), I will leave you lot to the complicated math.

Smurf, for giggles, I just did the same, but instead of a pint—had enjoyed a few margaritas (on vacation as well).

Instead of measuring the truck—I measured our garage length from the front wall to the safety laser at the garage door. Taped the Stanley to the floor and took 3 readings. Garage length is spot on 277” (multiple measurements).

Then—I measured the clearance from the leading edge of the front bumper (no front plate) to the wall. Then I took a measurement from the leading edge of the rear bumper to the safety laser (to have another inch of clearance).

After doing the math, Raptor clocks in at 240” (not perfect, but darn close—erring on conservative). With a hitch or beaver step—add another 8” or so.

I also did the same with our 2016 F250 6.7 Super Duty Crew Cab SWB and it came in at approx 270” again erring on conservative with rear hitch).

NOTE 1: Since some are considering the Tremor, I looked at the F250 length as well. I’m not sure if the length of the 2020-2021 Tremor in the same configuration is equal—but my guess is fairly close.

NOTE 2: Truck measurements added a 6” on purpose to length measurements—in the event you don’t want to be perfect every time parking.

If you have room behind the pole, cut the pole off near the floor. Bolt or weld a cross tube to the pole, making something like a parking lot concrete barrier, stopping your truck inches away from the water heater.

Just think how many pints I put down. I'm retired. Permanent Vacation.
Permanent Vacation... 1987, right? some good tunes on that album.

240 is what I quoted my agent while we were doing virtual showings earlier in ’20. I gave a nodding approval to any candidate house with a garage that had 250” or above.
I’m actually getting good at parking without having to check my position several times. 1: reverse chime speed
2: 360 camera showing the garage lip
3: motorcycle positions related to Lucille ( will be re-verifying that today because I’ve been organizing and have moved the bikes slightly forward.

Definitely first world problems.

A few weeks ago I met up with my agent, she quipped: After all this talk about your truck I thought it would be bigger.

I told her that Lucille loves to be complemented on how svelte she is.
