Just installed the Afe intake, turbo smart blow off, SPD adapters, Kooks green dp, corsa x, and corsa exhaust

Kooks do not hang lower stock so your ground clearance will be fine.

Throwing the 420 and 430 CEL as well with an NGauge and MPT performance tune.

MPT said they can’t clear the CEL but I can clear it with the NGauge but it will keep coming back with the Kooks.

I’m going to contact Kooks tomorrow to see what they say.

I was told MPT tune can't (or won't) shut off the CEL. However, 5 Star and JDM tunes can and will turn off the CEL. JDM tune is not yet available, but is in the final stages before releasing to the public.

Damn, how does the truck sound with the Kooks/Corsa X/Corsa exhaust set up?

Are you running any O2 sensor restrictors?

Well the truck sounds awesome at idle but sounds super raspy and to loud while getting on it. It’s not bad at all at cruising speed. I really don’t wont to chop up my brand new SS exhaust but I may install some Flo Pro twisters to smoothin her out.

I am not running any O2 restrictors but will look into that now.

Good to knew about the JDM tune. I didnt want to go with 5-star because I’ve read they didnt have thier tunes dialed in yet. I love the MPT tune, night and day difference. MPT costumor service is great as well but you are correct CEL can only be cleanered, not programmed out with MPT.

Has 5-star came out with a better tune within the last few months?

I was going to set up a dyno run just to see what kind of power this truck is actually making now but I may change my tune if others can delete the CEL. Thanks for the information on the other tuners

The second tune I got from 5 star was much better than the first, but I was a very early adopter. I couldnt be happier with 5 star.

I put up some info a while ago about the 5Star tune being junk. I bought it early on. They sent me a new version of the tune and it's much better. I daily drive it now.

Shaunhmc I have the exact same setup as you, after a thousand miles or so the noise mellows out nicely, was extremely loud when I first installed it but now its sweet. I got Vibrant 11619 J-Style Oxygen Sensor Restrictor from amazon and installed them on the furthest sensor from the engine on each downpipes and it stopped the CEL from popping up. I think I went with the middle sized insert, I will have to check.

Awesome I’m glad to hear that it mellows our and that those J-styles work. I will be ordering those right now. So you just changed out the the two rear O2 and left the first O2 sensors alone?

I was going to put a thousand miles on it before changing it up. I mean like loud toys don’t get me wrong. I just dont think I could daily drive this thing at this point.

If those J-styles do the trick then I’m set and will be leaving the MPT tune because this thing moves. Much more responsive and snappy after the tune and exhaust mods.

I do believe the SPD adapters used with the Kooks is what’s throwing the codes as well.

Crossing my fingers and one click buying these J-styles right now.

Thank you Fitzyro

Yes I only did the rear and left the first two alone. No it defo mellows out and sounds good, I had the same impression at first, cant drive this thing round sounding so loud, MPT tune is awesome but the CEL code was annoying. They won't do anything to do with CEL so glad the restrictors worked, At lest they have so far.
