This is all true.... but for the fact that no one has before and after runs on a Raptor to verify it.



What works on one engine may or may not work the same way on another.



Butt dynos are notoriously flawed.

Bullishone, if the resonators don't do it for you, it's worth a shot going back to stock exhaust and keeping the DP's just to see. It'll get rid of the rasp and still sound plenty more aggressive than stock with those highflow DP's. The factory true dual setup flows more than enough to make shit loads of power.

I don't mean to rag on the down pipes or adapters because they are part of a bigger picture...

But most of that is in the tune. I'm running a CAI, a bolt on FOrd touring.... and the five star tune...

AFE....magnum GT or whatever they call it.

I went with AFE because I don't like the open filter of some of the CAI.... and because the quality of the build was sound.

No CEL.... but I have a tune.... so not sure there. Did them at the same time.

Yes so now I will say it sounds like trash .. I hate it. The resonators better work or it's back to the drawing board. Kooks ruined the sound of the Borla.

It is neither of their fault. You can't make this engine "growl" like you so desperately want.
Again, learn from those who came before you and go the quiet flow route. I guarantee that you will be happy with that!... plus, you get more performance and turbo whistle.

Bullishone - my Borla I think was defective bc it sounded like yours with the down pipes - mine was the Borla S also.

When I was taking it off the muffler shop said they could easily modify my set up since I had my stock exhaust. They were going to take out the xpipe and add back my stock resonator... I didn't do it since I would have to cut the Borla and I was returning it. Just food for thought.

Okay got a new tune today and also twister race mufflers. I'm getting them put on tomorrow. I tried holding them up to the tailpipes while my wife revved the truck and they seem to be the answer I've been looking for. Will know more tomorrow.
