Knob under steering wheel

I was installing my pedal Commander today and notice there was a small knob under the steering wheel. I tried tracing the wires and they go into the dash somewhere. I couldn't see anything about it in the manual. Any clue?

Are you the original owner? That looks aftermarket. Mine doesn't have it. It looks like a dimmer. Do you have aftermarket LEDs? The dimmer for my VisionX lights on my Jeep looks like that.

Second owner, previous guy installed Volant CAI and a Corsa exhaust. Figured it was likely aftermarket. Thanks!

Do you have an aftermarket subwoofer? That looks like a bass level control.

That might be a good call. I thought it was stock (Sony sub under the rear seat) but noticed these 2 things behind the rear seats, JL amps maybe?

My guess is someone traded the truck in, removed their sub and replaced it with the factory sub. AND weren't interested in removing the amps because they are running your front channels. You got a free upgrade you didn't even know about.

Trace the wiring back to the sub amp and install and aftermarket sub. Huge upgrade for the price of a box and sub.

The stereo is loud as shit and I actually have too much bass as is! Guess it's loud due to the amps
