I was just thinking the same thing, these are great to retrieve things. I think the compressed air would be worth a try also.

Take this man's advice. He knows how to pull things out of places God never intended things to be.

I've got some bolts out of holes in the frame using pickup tools. Some are magnetic and some are not. I use this one all the time.

I wouldn't worry about getting it wet, I've accidently sent my through the laundry many times.

If all else fails, try a coat hanger.

Man I'd laugh at you but I did this on my 18XLT like 5 years ago. Think I used some thin metal to get it out, wasn't that bad luckily.

There are some good options here, but until you know where it is I don't think you will know which one to use. Compressed air or a leaf blower might drive the thing into a place where it is inaccessible. And you can't use one of those flexible grabbers unless you already know where it is. Some of those grabbers have a tiny LED in the business end - that might help you find it. Failing that, a pen light that is small enough to maneuver into tight spaces. I really think you need to find it before you will know what to do.
