I will send you mine also . 2019. Don't have ford pass never set up any wifi either.
no worries go ahead and send it over I can screenshot what I can see which is probably the same as the other above. Even though ford pass isnt setup or wifi I'm pretty sure by typing in the vin or knowing the VIN ford can see what I see anytime they want to. Its the new way of vehicle health reports from 2013-2014 MY it kinda went away for a bit secretly but became the new (on demand health report) which in turn is "I can see everything". And with the over the air updates now on gen 3, it can update to "i can see more stuff now" anytime they want to LOL.

It’s illegal for Ford or anyone else to access your vehicle without specific approval from you, or a judge. If Ford does this “automatically” in 2021 vehicles there will be a court appearance by Ford. I have a 2021 Exploder ST, so Ford can suck it. However, if you have it enabled, they can do wtf they want to gather your info.
I think mr tool is not quite up to publishing standards on his info. There’s only one person on this forum that has factual Ford info, or will certainly get it if needed. @FordTechOne

I'm just sharing what I can see and speculating what can be seen if it's looked hard enough into. Every single dtc almost shares a screenshot of various parameters and modules share info of calibration levels. It's not hard to see if say a pcm doesn't have a same "ford" style calibration level ID on it. Maybe I'm not fully aware of all published info or others may know more. I'm just being nice and giving a warning based on what I've seen happen at the dealership level. Remember this is for 21 specific people only, new model year vehicle, new development on stuff ect you don't think there gonna not start peeking at stuff and watching warranty repairs close especially the first few months or a year. It's how they learn research and development and come up with recalls or tech bulletins based on what us techs find at dealers. If you don't like what I publish or don't agree to it that's fine. Don't read or comment. I'm just being nice and trying to forwarn and help others. I'll quit if it's causing an issue. :chair:

I believe it has something to do with Ford pass app or sync connect , and agreeing to volunteer that info to Ford. Since i don't have that app and was never set-up. That why it says truck vin not authorized to send information.

If there's a clause in the sales contract that you have to sign before they give you the keys, you can opt out. By not buying the vehicle. That would be the only way to prevent this.

Yep, that would be required. However, that is not the case today, and not likely ever unless the US becomes a ******* socialist nation. Ford could likely do it without consent in most any other country. Today, you consent by activating the Ford Pass features in SYNC to gain access to the vehicle from your phone. If you can do it, Ford can do it because you allow it. Any other access is illegal, but still possible through hacking the data stream. You can turn off the access at any time and turn it back on if needed for your own info. I think it's irresponsible for anyone, especially a Ford "tech" to mention the data access without adding the means to do it. It reeks of typical dealer service "goon" behavior, not a savvy technician.

The later model Fords (among a few other OEMs) records a LOT of vehicle data that can be used in the aftermath of an accident to review vehicle activity at the point of impact. Such data access requires a court order, but it can be done.
