Find me a case where someone had warranty work denied for a tune

seriously- been on this forum now for 4 years, never once heard a peep, have heard lifts/springs/A-arms create warranty issues

I also believe a standard tune from a reliable tuner isn’t going to do squat in terms of diminishing reliability, these engines have forged guts & have been proven to be quite durable over the years

interesting if you “can’t” tune a Gen3 w/ same engine due to new ECM, wonder how long it’ll last? I believe GM locked down the ECM on the new C8 vetted pretty hardcore too…pretty sure they’re “untunable” as well- so weren’t dodge challengers @ one time too though so who knows?
Mustangs and f150 5.0s specifically for sure had warranty denied issues. I can screenshot the bulletin for you if you'd like stating from Ford to check specifically for tunes which caused pistons to meltdown.

Yeah, the only one I know of is the dumb*ss who trashed the suspension and wanted Ford to fix his mess. I've seen the Ford bulletin, but what about actual cases? Raptors, not redneck Mustang owners.

Ford has been cracking down on us sending log files in with our claims showing if flashes have been done ect. We have had several f150s, mustangs, and one raptor with a procharger and a tune grenade a transmission and they denied the warranty claim after it was submitted and the owner had to pay 7500$ for trans and install before he could pick his truck up( he was on vacation while we did repairs and submitted the paperwork). Now with the OTA stuff they can see if it's been flashed anytime(I can pull up someone's vin at home and see to). It's just a warning, if you want to risk it go ahead I can't stop u nor am I trying to stop you. I just am being nice giving out a warning so 6months from now when your warranty is voided maybe your not on here whining LOL.

Ah. Thought you where talking gen2. That guy must have a hell of a powertrain warranty.
No actually it expired 3-4 years ago. I forget when I've worked on a lot of vehicles since then I think 2016 is when it happened. But yeah I'm just warning I can type anyone's vin in like 2019+ and pull up all there info, last recorded mph events ect. I can see everything from how long your run time is, to even when your oil light was last reset and at what mileage. It wouldn't surprise me if ford used that as "oh you reset your oil light last 11500 miles ago, your 1500 miles over your service record" and note that down some where. They are getting very crazy with things within the last year. Heck I won't lie I've had ford engineers call me at the dealership asking me what I found on a certain vehicle ect and they know exactly what diagnostic codes it had ect. I'm like WTF how do you guys know this , then I remember how.

I know that “they” can see your vehicle data IF you allow the vehicle to send/receive data. However, that “feature” can and should be disabled if someone is concerned about warranty with mods, etc. Ford indeed pushes you to allow them to “see” your vehicle and require it for the “convenience”functions in the Ford app. You simply disable that crap in the SYNC menu and don’t worry about it. Done.

Can you confirm that this is 19+? Not 17-18? Thanks
