Had mine on for one week, 1/2 filled with crap. Granted my drive to work is 1.5 miles, I know I'll fill mine up quicker than most. But glad it's catching most of it.

Greetings,

I just purchased mine from stage 3 motor sports.. anybody have any experience with them? I was reading and I hope I get the new filter design!

Already put 5K miles on my new truck so I have a feeling this should be on top of the list!

Has anyone noticed different levels of gunk change depending on what oil you use?

Thanks,

-Abe E.

You most likely got the new filter. Is it small and inserted into one of the lines in the cap?

Toss it on the fire.... there is a lot of moisture that can be mixed in there. Not worth putting that little bit back in the engine.

2 tanks of gas, it has been cold and there has been a lot of idling time via remote start.

This is still just a cheapo open can that I had laying around when I decided to install it. I've just not got around to making a baffle/diffuser inside of the thing.

It's mostly moisture, I'll let it settle for a couple of days before adding it to the used oil bucket.

Edit: Let it sit overnight, most of the oil came to the top, the rest is frozen.

I just installed mine last week, city driving, cold morning starts and idle time from remote starts. 10 minutes to work, One road trip in there of 165 miles. I figured somewhere around 250 miles plus all the idling time. It's been real cold up here.

I don't care what anybody says. This thing works! It's about 35 % full , We have e10 and 1/2 of the tank I ran through it was e10. I just found a place that sells NON ethanol 91 year round so my tank is now full of that.( SORRY @Wilson) I love my JLT!

Oil is AMSOIL SIGNATURE SERIES

Yes. With synthetic oils now, it is less susceptible, but even so, I still do more frequent oil changes.
