Here's a question, notice with the roush and the whipple, they run open top air boxes, whats the chance of tuning to a sealed CAI box, being a lot of us have such systems on our trucks, thinking could work, possibly having to open the intake side of the CAI to get the flow, but still giving better filter protection.

Both kits use Air box Surrounds, which don't completely close off the filter but when the hood is shut it does seal enough to create an enclosure. I recommend it this way on a Supercharged vehicle because when your wide open throttle its pulling air from everywhere. A totally sealed box could be restrictive. We have tested this on the Gen 2 Lightning trucks and found that even a box around the filter hurt performance at higher power levels. Because these trucks have such a big open grill when you start moving more than 5 mph your getting a lot of cool air circulating through the engine bay. Only when your sitting still in traffic or on a dyno are you going to notice a difference with a sealed box. For filter protection we have suggested to our customers before using a filter sock. K&N and S&B both sell them in the correct filter size.

Here is a picture of one of our Customers Lightning F-150 trucks that makes about 900 RWHP and has run 9.36@147 in the 1/4 mile....at 4400lbs (factory weight)

I haven't seen the need for a supercharger since i've owned my raptor and haven't even considered it, but something about this new raptor, no way in hell am i comfortable with a stock v6 raptor being faster than me lol. Damnit.

So how much is this kit going to cost us? I think I need one.

We list the price of the kit here, along with the options to add the twin 65mm throttle body and Upgraded Heat exchanger. 2010-2014 Raptor 6.2L F-150 2.9L Whipple Supercharger with JDM 650HP Performance Upgrade Package - JDM Engineering
