I’m very concerned about my safety in Moab now This is a National Park, why is the government not keeping me safe from Jake here?
They initiated a permit system for Angels Landing to “ Keep me safe” from myself. I think they should hire some Rattle Snake Herders!

no shit, aren't they able to strike the length of their body? If that's the case I'm not touching a 5' snake with anything less than a 15' pole. Not a fan of the nope ropes/danger noodles

In all my years of coming to Moab, I have only seen one snake, they are here, but there is so much territory that they stay away from the populated areas. Which is a good thing as I hate snakes.

WE have the same snakes here in the Okanagan, they are asleep for 4-5 months of the year. Haven't seen any 8 footers though, lol. I always wear hiking boots when I plan to leave my vehicle when offroading in the warm/hot weather here.
