IWE nightmare...Your thoughts?

I read what they say on amazon, so, it's written it can be better to make the switch with this part beforen to have some IWE issue, is it what you have done ? or , the grinding noise was already there and you replace check valve and solenoid ? For that price , I need this in my glovebox or just change it before it's too late. (I hava at time absolutly no issue with IWE) What do you think ?
I keep the extra parts in the glove in the event I start having problems.

At the risk of being roasted: is it a problem just keeping it in 4Auto? I had a 2004 Chevy Avalanche and kept it in AWD for 250k. I put it in 4WH occasionally, but never hit 2WD. I never had an issue. My 2011 & 2015 F150’s didn’t have 4Auto, but when I got my Raptor, 4Auto is my normal setting. I’m on construction sites every day and weekly get in situations where I had to switch to 4wd on my previous F150’s. With my Raptor in 4Auto, I never have to F with it on job sites. It just goes. My dad always said, years ago, don’t save your 4WD, engage the hubs before you NEED to (old school). If my vehicle has 4Auto/AWD, I keep it there. Am I missing something?
If it’s gas mileage, ****. We’re driving Raptors.

From what i understand leaving in 4a causing wear in the clutch system in transfer case . If your city driving on dry pavement drive systems are in motion everything rotating there is no direct connection to rear wheel , once slippage is detected it engages clutch in transfercase and sends power to front axles. 4 hi locks front and rear together , that's why its bad to run 4hi and turn corners on pavement. 4A you can turn corners and not bind up . I run 4a in rain and i also switch to 4a to make sure hubs engage then 4hi when i'm getting ready for a boost launch . I really don't know long term effects of leaving in 4a , just that is not recommended as far i what i have read.

I use it in rain and snow. It only engages when the tires slip so it shouldn’t wear much unless you’re in mud for hours a day.

They tried doing the same bulletin with me when I had my 2020. They need to read the bulletin closer. Raptor is not included. After I told the service manager about the Raptor no being included in the bulletin, they fixed it under warranty.
For what it's worth, I had an iwe that leaked vacuum allowing dirt to contaminate the system, so they had to replace all the lines and the check valve. With dirt in the system a check valve wouldn't last 5 miles. I changed out 4 of them myself before bringing it to the dealer.

Keep in mind I THINK there’s something unique about the Raptor transfercase that is different from other F150s & enables more seamless & quicker transfer of power to the front wheels, it certainly seems that way to me compared to other “4 auto” trucks I’ve driven in the past.

Plus what ford mentions here from back in 2017

Truck went to the dealer this morning and they just called saying my issue is the check valve. I brought the TSB and told them it did not apply but that the pinpoint test could be used to determine what was wrong. I had replaced on my own after my first trip to the dealer for an intermittent grinding (F/R) that they could not replicate back in early 2024- (FL3Z-3A7888-B from Tasca 2/1/24). They are now saying that the check valve is not covered by my Ford ESP. They claim the part # is not covered and therefore I'm on the hook for diagnosis, labor and the new check valve. - is there any recourse on the OEM parts warranty?

UPON ROAD TEST, UNABLE TO PINPOINT NOISE. PUT VEHICLE
IN AIR AND HAD ADDITIONAL TECHNICIAN DRIVE IN AIR. FOUND
WHEN SWAPPING FROM 2HI TO 4HI VEHICLE GETS PARTIALLY STUCK
IN 4WD. CHECKED VACUUM CANISTER FOR LEAKS, NONE FOUND.
MANUALLY PERFORMED VACUUM TEST TO EACH IWE ACTUATOR, BOTH
OK. CHECKED BOTH IWE ACTUATOR HOSES FOR LEAKS, OK. CHECKED
TO MAKE SURE BOTH IWE ACTUATORS MANUALLY RELEASE FROM HUBS.
REMOVED VACUUM CHECK VALVE. PERFORMED VACUUM TEST. CHECK
VALVE BLEEDS DOWN, CAUSING IWE ACTUATORS TO NOT FULLY
DISENGAGE WHICH IS THE CAUSE OF THE CUSTOMERS COMPLAINT. NEW
CHECK VALVE NEEDED TO CORRECT CUSTOMERS CONCERN.

@FordTechOne - how different are the Raptor's IWE systems compared to a standard F150? What is the logic in not capping the system? Off-road modes, torsen diff? School me, I know nothing.
