IWE Check Valve..?

I was/am having the rattle/grind while driving. I found the problem and fix here, of course and then replaced the part. I noticed while replacing it that my valve piece doesn’t connect to the hose like all of the others in the videos on YouTube. Anyone else see this? Is it normal? Pics for reference, mine and the YouTube video screenshot:
My guess is the dealership performed the non-Raptor TSB for intermittent grinding. Essentially they are bypassing the IWE system so your hubs are always engaged, this was the “fix” for non Raptors. Since we have Torsen fronts and driving modes it’s not recommended in Raptors.

If your IWE system has been “bypassed” and your are still hearing “grinding” I’d be worried about chewed up hubs.

@FordTechOne would be to confirm the wrong TSB. A dealership wanted to do this non Raptor TSB on my truck too.

Good info, thank you. The grind is gone now that I replaced the valve. I was concerned about the valve being capped as opposed to having a hose line being attached. I’ll likely order the part that corona sent a pic of above

It doesn't really make sense that your grind is gone after replacing the valve. Since yours was capped, your IWEs are always engaged so that valve is essentially useless.

Exactly what I was thinking but it’s definitely gone in 2wd now ‍♀️

Yes, the TSB to cap off the vacuum line does not apply to Raptor.

As others mentioned, it doesn’t make sense that there would be a grind noise from the IWEs in 2WD with the system capped off, since the hubs would be fully engaged at all times.
