But I digress. When I first joined here, this place could be a bit brutal. I got used to it quickly and people have actually been very helpful to me. I've gotten many informative replies to my sometimes dumb questions. So I may as well press my luck.

In no particular order: (Yes, I know, if I RTFM, I could probably find the answers, or maybe not, but you guys are so much clearer for me.)

1. Are the daytime running lights the same as when the headlights are on? I saw a '17 or '18 behind me in daylight on the highway and the headlights did not seem as bright as my '19. Is that because they DRL are dimmer?

2. A FORSCAN question or two. Yes, I know there's a 50,000 page thread on it. It's overwhelming to a simpleton like me.

Bambi mode. What exactly is it? Does it turn off the DRL and turn on the yellow/orange trim light around the headlights? If so, I want it.

2. Another FORSCAN question. I bought the piece that goes in the OBD port. I've yet to use it. Why? Aside from being a partial dope, I'm afraid to f something up. With all the videos I've watched, all the posts I've read, I haven't found one that clearly and easily explains how to back up your original settings before taking the dive.

3. When you brake hard, does your rear seat, if it's in the up position, come down? Only the side that's larger on mine does. The smaller one requires pulling the strap to lower.

4. What the heck is the BiltRite thing that releases and locks the seat back for? is there that much space back there to store stuff?

5. This one is a bit more important to me so give it your best shot. Now that Cobb is offering a tune for the '19, I haven't seen that many write-ups on it, but I see many on other tunes.

So, which is the best tune for the '19? And will it give a lot more power without other mods?

Last and probably least, what is that little hoop strap attached to the side of the seat near the seat belt buckle for?

Thanks again.

Question #3
I had the same thing. The way the bottom cover of the seat was rolled did not allow the latch to fully engage. I had the dealer look at it, but an easy enough fix to tuck the cover in away from the latch.

I had the same issue with the large back seat only coming down during braking. I pushed it back into place and it seems solid now like it may have latched. If it comes down again I will check to tuck the cover away from the latch.

Cobb is a great company, but in the world of raptor tuning, their lack of trans tuning for the very imperfect 10 speed... is a huge drawback.

Mine does the same thing too! The back comes down without having to unlatch anything. How'd you fix it? Not quite following you ...

My larger rear seat doesnt always latch when you put it up, you have to give it an extra little push to lock it in and then it wont fall. You can tell when you get it to the locking point.

My .02 on the cobb accessport. I have no other performance mods just the cobb tuner - very well worth it in my opinion. The difference is night and day, you have ability to control pedal sensitivity which is worth it for this feature alone especially when in normal mode, you can shut off auto start/stop, you can mount it and run 6 different gauges --- not to mention the difference in performance. On just the OTS 93 tune the truck is a completely different animal. Many people complain about the trans and ability to tune it from cobb. I personally havent had any issues with my trans at all, sport mode works as it should, trans shifts perfectly otherwise so no complaints there. I use sport manual a lot when driving spirited

As many times as I’ve had to tear into this for now 2 sub installs, and soon to be more stereo mods; The rear latch mechanism, specifically the bar, can be moved out of position such that you cannot effectively latch the seat back. If you lower the seat back, then line up the bar with the catch on the seat, then firmly seat the latch to the bar, the seat back will latch. It’s a bit cumbersome to unlatch until you get the hang of it. Hence the built right seat latch thing.

Yes DTRL are a little dimmer. You can tell DTRL are on and not full headlights by the lack of parking lights.

Bambi mode is a tweak that allows Brite lights, normal headlights, and fog lights (non raptor f150) to all be on at the same time. normally, when you turn on the brites, only the brite head lights are on. This allows every possible light to be on so you can see little deer (bambi)

you either computer or you dont. not that hard, but I am a software professional.

.

No. double check your latches

4. What the heck is the BiltRite thing that releases and locks the seat back for? is there that much space back there to store stuff?

just makes it easier to release the rear seat back. i have no problem doing it with my fingers...some need a strap.

5. This one is a bit more important to me so give it your best shot. Now that Cobb is offering a tune for the '19, I haven't seen that many write-ups on it, but I see many on other tunes.

meh...skip the tune till warranty is up....yes but there are risks to those rewards

keep the buckle in place so you can find it easy

Ah, so I think I follow you, and maybe I need to take a picture to explain this, but my problem isn't the sliding bar but it's more that there appears to be some sort of plastic clip/guard/block that's partially in the way that doesn't allow that bar to slide far enough back into the latch to trigger it. I thought about just prying/cutting out that piece of plastic but I wasn't sure if it was supposed to stay there or if it was just a carryover from the factory where maybe it was used to prevent the seat from latching during the build and installation ... Not sure.
