#fakenews just like the Costco Raptor purchase program.

They do give you free mochas for life with a Gen 2 purchase though. You just have to ask.

I heard they are running Starbucks coffee cup ads on the Jfer instrument cluster displays.

I sold my '13 last year in anticipation that when the Gen2's came out that it would make the prices dip a little, but like everyone has seen, they haven't at all. I kind of wish I kept it.. Speaks a lot for the truck though. I loved my '13 and if I had my choice (and space) I would have one of each Gen. They are so different! The Gen2's are awesome and I don't think you can fully understand until you actually drive it over a longer period than a test drive (the thing really is a rocket ship, for a truck, at certain speeds/gears). That being said, there are a number of things that I do not like about the Gen2. I believe that will happen with any 2nd, 3rd, etc Gen vehicle. They have to make them different to keep the incentive to buy them. My biggest concern with the EcoV6 or any turbocharged motor for that matter is the long term reliability.

solid response. I'll be keeping my 12 until I can afford both, they will never make another 1st gen

I wish I could afford a super low mile Gen1. Like, less than 10k miles. Just so I could go that much longer without anything messing up.
For some reason, I'm very scared about the transmission going out on my truck even though it's not acting goofy or anything. Just that I'm creeping up on the 60k mile mark and would rather spend a few thousand bucks on a blower, not repairing the transmission if it ever goofs up.

The only thing I want from the Gen2 on my truck is the moonroof. Good God Almighty in Heaven I love that big glass in my dad's '17. But other than that? Love my '13. Love love love.

I bought my '14 a year ago with 20k miles on it and it's up to 30k now.... I plan on having the truck until I die so reading how minimal the problems are at over 100k really makes me happy! I wanna make it to a run sometime soon, that will help me get into this prestigious club, otherwise I guess I'll join you all in 7 years lol

Wait, I drove a Jenny with a V6 and wasn't very impressed either. Am I also Sasquatch77?

No, this is not one of the accounts used by the user formerly known as sasquatch77. But you have definitely spent many electrons’ lives trying to convince the unwashed masses that the 17+ Raptor is no good.

I usually putt around in my 2010 with 650hp whipple system. Early this morning feeling the need for speed . Opened it up on a long stretch of deserted road. I think i had a religous expierence 6.2 litres, 10 psi boost , SW longtubes with lightning side exit. JDM tune. lowrance gps said 126mph when i lifted. No V6 in my future for me.

Soooo how you liking that SW exhaust? I think the Lightning side exits look killer and am seriously considering that as my next project. Well, once I find a way to pay for the next two guns I need to buy plus a few bottles of Blanton's Bourbon...
