Ok to add to my on going project 2 things have been put off due to multiple excuses haha.
So from TRR 13 won a full set of tuned RPG front and rear shocks. All I can say is HOLY HELL these things are like riding in a Cadillac. For some of you this is a good comparison for a few reasons.
1. Only mod to the the stock suspension was the top perch.
2. I only have now the 3.0s nothing more or less.
3. No other factors to consider except a straight shock swap.
With totally no BS at all the shocks alone make this truck so much better in about every way possible. I was having some issues with the front dancing on top perch and now it stays firm and planted with the only feel back is of the road so you can tell what your driving on nothing more or less. I had exactly 50K on the old shocks. The rears are still in good shape and the fronts are harder to tell as you can't just push them down to see how the nitrogen is.
The install wasn't to bad did it all by myself. Another set of hands would have been awesome, but not needed. I will say fishing the little bracket to bolt the front reservoir is a little tricky and I will try to explain how I did it. Might help some people in the future. Other than that getting the hat bolts started on the top really could be a 2 person job but nothing someone by themselves can't handle.
Ok screw the talk lets see some pics!
RPG 3.0s
Stock pass side before wrenches got to work
Stock drivers side
Truck looks nakid on the lift
Drive side tore down
Ok needed some more spins on the turn buckle so I compressed the spring and did my magic...2010 FTW
Came with 7 threads bumped it out to 11/12 range
Finished:
3.0s going in
3.0 finished
Rear shocks
They were very easy to put on even with 200 PSI of nitrogen in them. Just get you a strap make a loop out of it and stand on it and drop the bolt in which every end you don't have stabbed.
Sorry didn't take pics before but it ain't like you can't find that out haha
