I will do my best on this one.

The numbers 4.10:1 means that for every 4.10 turns of the pinion gear, you get one completer rotation of the ring gear.

Higher the # the "lower" the gear is.

A 4.10 gear is a high gear, and 4.88s & 5.12s are low gears.

You want a lower gear ratio for acceleration.

You do loose some top end speed with low gears because the RPM goes up.

but what is 4 low? I'm guessing Netix knows. I have never ran in low other than parking it once in 4 low to see with the video thing.

Hi!
I have one more question :)
How quick (37" Mud Grapplers) wears out VS 35" Mud Grapplers?
How deep is your 37" Mud Grapplers pattern since you bought them?
(Pattern vs miles)

By the way, have you changed the gear, if so, which one? 4,8?
Thanks in advance!!!

Running 5.13 for gears front and rear. Talk about a torque monster.

Well I've got 6K on the 37s and had 30k+ on the first set of 35s and 10k on the second set. They both are 21/32" from the factory, but I think the 37s are lasting longer than the 35s which would make more since because of 2 reasons. There is just more overall rubber for the 37s in width and all the way around. The blocks are a little bigger including the gaps, but over all really like the 37s better. I will say one more thing I probably run the 37s harder due to the 5.13s and looking at them yesterday its really hard to tell i put them on 6k ago.

My guess due to what i see now is they will last longer, but the 35s would have no problem going 40k with a few thousand miles of offroad. I've still got my original 35s that have 2 TRR on them plus 30K highway and wouldn't be scared at all to take them coast to coast. Zero flats from the 3 sets and before my raptor my 97 4runner has the 33x11.50R16 with 40k on them and still had some miles left plus zero flats as well. I know they came with like 19/21"~ (less than the 35s) thread depth new. Howl between the 37 and 35s are minimal with maybe the 37s quieter. Now with that said they do get a lot louder the more miles they get. I could tell the biggest difference when I had to put my stock wheels back on with the 30k mile tires on compared to the 10k.

Here is all 4 ways i've personally had grapplers and my father is running 2 sets right now due to my success with them.

4runner more or less new tires:

Sidenote: Mine's crazy torquey on the bottom end with 4.88s and still running 35"s (at the moment).

I hear you on that when i ran my 35s with the 5.13s it was crazy! 3rd gear on pavement and it would brake them loose!

What I thought. Odd they put 4.10s in ours vs. regular F150s.

Yeah back in the day they did some weird stuff but from what my ol man told me they would do like a 4.10 in the front and a 4.11 in the rear so it would pull from the front end instead of balling up "material" in front of the tires. I could have swore he told me some of the fords came like that from the factory but not 100% sure.

really the truck is set to only go 100mph so why the high gears lol makes no sense.

More than likely MPGs. Go any higher in gears like 3.73 the motor struggles and you drop MPGs. Go any lower 4.56 and the motor runs more RPMs but takes more fuel. Now that is a very open answer but kind of a guide line.

but what is 4 low? I'm guessing Netix knows. I have never ran in low other than parking it once in 4 low to see with the video thing.

Yeah 12s have the camera but for guys who don't 4Lo is good for when you want to crawl over stuff and let your gears do it for you rather than your tranny/torque converter. Same thing for going down hill letting your gears and motor doing the braking rather than riding your brakes the whole time. More control at very low speeds over nasty/rough stuff.
