I wasn't being sarcastic, just trying to understand what I am missing. Are the edges not perfectly straight or of uneven depth?

Driver's side is lower but what makes it noticable is seeing the little plastic nubs that the handle insert is supposed to be sitting on top of.

I am pickier than most but I guess I just expected that since this truck cost twice as much as a basic F-150 that they would be a little more careful putting them together. With the crooked bumpers, misaligned beds, paint defects and other minor things just doesn't reflect the company slogan of "quality is job one".

Sure these things are minor, sure there are worse things to worry about, sure the Raptor is still the most bad-ass, but it would have been a minor cost for the Service Manager to take care of it and earn my business. I did end up showing the Sales Manager who sold me the truck the minor fitment issue and I asked him if I was being too picky and he said they should fix it. If for no other reason then to get my next vehicle purchase.

Just because it is the same workers and assembly line doesn't mean they shouldn't be a little more careful with the higher trim levels. Even if the assembly workers on the line don't have the time, the more expensive trims should get better QA/QC after assembly. Maybe not so much for the Raptor since it generally has a different demographic, but I am sure most of the guys buying Limiteds and Platinums expect them to have better "fit and finish" than an STX.

You are forgetting that to the workers that a Raptor is just another truck that they have 30 seconds to install their part on. Just because you feel you are spending a lot of money on a truck does not automatically mean that you are going to get a show quality fit and finish. Some of the older sports cars that were priced like they were made of unobtanium and far worse fit and finish than any mass produced car, and the owners still loved them, and treated them like they were a beautiful prom princess.
