I don't expect "show quality fit and finish", I am not out measuring body panel gaps with a micrometer, but having a bumper off by 3/4 inch from one side to the other or having visible body rust on a brand new $60k truck is not right.

* I agree, mine is the same. The drivers side rear bumper is out way further, simply not centered!

Speaking of fit and finish... Just detailed my new Raptor and so far along with my previous post of the paint peaking from the A pillar I've also noticed cracks in the paint by the front driver's side fender. When you enlarge the picture those lines in the paint aren't from the reflection... they feel like cracks in the clear coat. Also notice that the camera washer is turning green... I would try to clean it up and it would come back and I haven't even driven it yet after cleaning it. I don't think we're being too picky... one of my friends that's been a Dodge and Ford guy says I'm too picky and I always tell him I came over from a Toyota Tundra and that truck didn't have any of the fit and finish problems. The Raptor definitely drivers and rides better and is quieter also. The Tundra had a nasty bed bounce. I'm finally starting to see the legendary Ford build quality all the Toyota fanboys warned me about. The Tundra definitely had more solid feeling switch gear and the plastics were much higher quality. I wish either Toyota would either just knock off the Raptor and build something like it or Ford will finally get it and get their build quality up to par with Toyota and Honda. Maybe I'm just asking for too much. :)

My front washer was the same on day one. Go open you back window and get it the bed and look down in the window where the rear trim in the cab is. Nice huh?

Johnuf78, when did you take delivery? Go back to the dealer and get that camera washer replaced, it looks nasty. Did you check the washer fluid reservoir to see if anything is growing in there?

Oh, what now? Post a pic.

Update on the door trim fitment. The guy at the body shop who fixed my rusty bumper brackets took a look at it and did not come up with an easy fix.
I just watched a Youtube on how this door panel piece comes out and it seems like a little shimming might work. I will give it a try this weekend, but will most likely just break something else.

I have to take it back to the dealer next week to get the tonneau cover put on along with the bed extender so they said they will take a look at it then. I'm not expecting a fix for the A pillar trim since everyone else with an F150 has the same issue... which means no one at Ford is paying attention to parts being out of spec or they feel it's acceptable to see painted metal... if so why even bother to put a piece of trim over it.

I already checked behind the rear seat when installing the car seat... the carpeted panel fit is horrible... kind of half hanging there. I'm actually really worried about the paint... I'm thinking if it does indeed get worse or actually crack and flake off Ford will probably blame it on me that a rock or something hit it to cause it. I have two friends of mine that use to have a Ford Escape and Ford Flex and they swear it's the last domestic they will buy. Both of them had the A/C fail right after the warranty was up and one of them had the transmission go also.

If the assembly quality and lack of attention to detail is like this on one of Ford's "halo" vehicles I don't have much confidence long term in the truck holding up. I don't think I'll be keeping this truck past the warranty... I have no problems keeping a Toyota past their warranty. Funny thing is you can buy a factory extended warranty for a Toyota at any time up until the factory warranty expires while Ford will charge you a premium ($200 I think) if you do it past one year or 12k miles. It's almost like they won't want you to own the car for any length of time to see how many problems it has before you decide if it's worth buying an extended warranty or not. Also not counting the premium for not buying the warranty within the first year or 12k miles, the Ford extended warranty is still more expensive than the Toyota's. That alone should say a lot about the long term quality and reliability.... Ford and Toyota aren't in the business of selling extended warranties to lose money.

I have had many trucks, honestly my 2014 Raptor is the worst one ever for quality, disgusting to me based on the price these trucks go for! People ask me all the time about the Raptor, i always tell them it runs great, however no quality and simply show them one or two of several cosmetic issues and tell them it is not worth the price!

First off, why you looking at your door handle area when driving? HAHaaaa. If you look at that so long that it bugs you, are you spending too much time in the truck NOT DRIVING but sleeping or what? HAhaaaa.

After the first few rub downs after washing, shit like that will stop bothering you. Doesn't hurt to ask a service guy and yes you are being funny with that small of an issue. Now rattles bug me. Also, if a fitment issue is visible while driving, then maybe it's worth a look by the dealer. My 2 big issues from the drivers seat are the red steering wheel stripe is off center of the wheel and the damn gas gauge moves DOWNWARD to easy! AHahaaaa.
