The dealers were given an allocation number at the beginning of the year and we've been told the entire time that's all we'll get for the 17' model year. I've asked our Ford rep each time I see her and she still tells me the same thing.

Speaking about Raptor allocation with other dealers I know the only one's that have allocation left are the one's asking well over sticker. The only other dealer I know that sold his at sticker were all spoken for also.

We sold all of ours at both stores for sticker.

There have been people posting here recently that have just ordered and were able to get them for sticker.

We've got 2 people on our list that are waiting for 18's.

That doesn't seem correct with what the Ford Media Release said. On that they said that they will make as many raptors as there is demand for them. Do we just have to wait until January until we can place orders if all our local dealers are out of allocations?

I know Ford said they will build Raptors. They are building more than they did in 14'. But they set the number to be built for this model year before production ever started. Then they gave each dealer their allocation number for the entire year. So that won't change until they switch to 18's. At that point they may do the same thing with allocation or they may hand out allocation to us every few weeks.

But for 17' the allocation number each of us was given is all we will be getting. I wish I had access to more because I have more buyers.

Keep in mind that you probably won't get one until January or February even if you ordered today.

I'd venture to say ordered today would not come until March or April at the earliest. There's dozens of people on here who ordered in July & August and have not been scheduled yet, plus the holiday shutdown at the plant in December.

So we will have to wait until next year around August - September to place an order?

No. There are still dealers that have allocation available for 17'. You just have to do some searching to find one at the price you're willing to pay. Many of the dealers that still have units available for 17' have them because of the price they are asking.

So would all the allocations be stretched out throughout the entire production year for being built or do you think it's more typical to quickly build all the allocation units and then stop building them till the next model year?

The allocation is spread out over the entire production year.

We got 4 trucks here where I work. Our first one got scheduled rather quickly and our second one is scheduled for 11/21. The second truck is my truck and the Ford rep helped get that scheduled quicker for me. So it will probably be a while until we see our 3rd and 4th units get scheduled.

So this would mean any dealer that took and order for a 17 raptor above the allocations they were given needs to refund the customer immediately bc they cannot deliver a 17 raptor since they sold their current allocations out and can only deliver an 18.

I know there are lots of dealers who sold their allocations and then accepted more deposits planning to get more 17 allocations soonish.

Damn. Yeah I am trying to tell if my dealer is pulling my leg on when mine (3rd in line out of 4) will get scheduled. 1st one got scheduled quickly, and I can see it as dealer ordered on fords website. However he said the 2nd one has now already been scheduled (in Oct) and mine should get scheduled November/December.

Also, thanks for all the info you've been providing since back in July! it's been really helpful during this mess of ordering process.

You're saying that Ford and the dealer you work for will allow salesmen to buy trucks for themselves before their customers? Not only that, but that Ford will push their salesmen's trucks ahead of other customers?

Quality stuff there.
