Retrofit 2012 seats?

I know I read where a couple of us were tire kicking this around. I started thinking about this a while back but had to wait for parts to come available. So, now that we are well into 2012 production, Im going to start figuring out if this can be done. I reason that just like the wiring harness for the backup camera and the trailer control module is in the trucks without it, so should be the harness for running the cooled seats since they were an option on other f150s and I am betting the harnesses are all the same on the 2011s. The location for the controls is there, but am guessing they put a dummy cover over the spots that control that. Only other thing needed SHOULD be the seats. After I get the two new seats, I can have my orange seats copied in the same style material that work with the cooled seating.

Im bringing this up because Im thinking out loud to figure out what might be missed in this process. Maybe one of you have been thinking the same thing. Any thoughts on this?

Anyone seen a f150 thread on other forums where someone has attempted this as an upfit to their regular f150?

Might be cheaper to just buy a new truck. Take off the good mods on the old truck put them on the new one and go from there. I am willing to bet that this will cost more than you think BUT still want to know when you are done if it was worth it. Getting in this thing at 5:30 or 6:00 on a summer day is brutal!!

I didnt even know they came on the raptors til not too long ago. Living in NC, its starting to get pretty hot and black interior and black paint dont exactly keep it cooler. ive always dreamed about the idea of air conditioned seats. is there an aftermarket kit out there or can i buy a kit from ford and would it be worth it? for those of you that have them, how do you like them?
