You are a farmer, 6013 rod also referred to as "farmer's rod" because surface prep isn't so necessary with it. It can weld over paint... Duh

Spend the money up front on a welder. You'll end up buying a better one if you get a cheap one.

Thermal arc makes a good 3 in one welder.

Yea I don't plan on going to cheap but I really dot have the need for a gas welder that's why I was thinking just a mig/flux core welder would do plus my workshops kinda small. I don't plan on welding structural pieces so I should be ok with just a wire feed flux core welder right? Lol that's all I've used so its all I know lol my shop class in high school was cheap!

Shhhhhhhhh....Gotta use what you can get.
I helped the guy out cause now when he uses his walker it makes sparks, instant flashlight.
