and the best news is, you end up with a Raptor in both scenarios so it is just about your downside...Weird times indeed…

This!! I think I’ll snag that bird in the hand and assess the reality of moment when the one in the bush arrives…whenever that tangibly manifests itself lol.and the best news is, you end up with a Raptor in both scenarios so it is just about your downside...
Thanks for that…yeah I said 15k as a wild guess on the sticker increase, the actual price with ADM will be INSANE if and when it ever appears. Thanks for the insight …my instincts told me the same about jumping on the 21 and assessing whenever the 22 arrives. You're correct, the interest rates are going to go up everywhere. I believe the used car market (10 years old and newer) will stay high if in good shape. I laughed at your 10k over on the Raptor R, try 50k over, not even in the same ballpark and not a worry with it reflecting any price on the Gen 3, IF they ever build it. Buy the 21 and you may just want to keep it or you can trade it in if you want, there is no downside to getting the '21 that I can see. Good luck and keep us posted.
I’m paying 5k over on the 21 but MSRP on the custom order…who knows when that will be.I think in this purchasing environment, if you can get MSRP on a gen3 Rap you should go for it. Even a primer grey one. You can always paint it yourself, or have Earl Scheib do it for you ;-)
In all seriousness, you don’t know how long the wait will be on either truck. Sooner is going to be better because once the real inflation starts to set in for the long haul, you’re going to see everything tighten up, including credit so not only will loans be more expensive they’ll be harder to get for at least some of the population.
